Christmas Countdown Swap

This year it is my first Christmas as a Stampin Up Demonstrator and part of the Artful Inkers ( local demos). We had a Countdown swap this year, which consisted of making 24 items and wrapping them up just simple or we could give something little like chocolates (mmmmm) and wrap them up fancy. We had to put the date that we where assigned onto the package so everyone knew that on that day you open that gift :) Everyday through the month of Dec we get to open a gift, so fun although I must admit as soon as I got home that night I opened everything :0 hehe Sorry ladies I couldn't help myself I'm kinda like a kid that way.

Anyways here is what my gift was, a mini composite book made into a Holiday Planner where you can keep your lists of what you need to get still or even write down the recipes you will need for Xmas baking. I had fun making these and will def be making more in the future.

Here they are after I wrapped them, I decided just to wrap them in tissue paper with a ribbon and a tag with the date they could open them on.

Paper: SU Jolly Holiday DP, Very Vanilla, Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, and Confetti White

Punches: SU Snowflake, and Decorative Label

Ink: SU Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive

Embellishments: SU Glimmer Brads ( Old Olive and Real Red ), and Cranberry grosgrain ribbon from Walmart

Cricut Cart: Number 6 was cut out at 1 1/2" using Plantin School Book
I used a sponge to go around to edge of the books and the tags. Also I used a black fine tip pen to do the dashes around the label punches. I didn't have a stamp that said what I wanted so I printed out onto very vanilla from my computer and then punched them out to make label on cover :)
Hope the ladies like them with they open them up today !!!

(or opened them up like me that night wink wink)

Thanks xoxo

Take Care

A Birthday Card for Momo

Well for those of you who know about the famous and Creative Queen Momo you will know that it was her Birthday on the 10th of October. My mom and I where involved in a group of ladies that sent cards to Momo. I thought it turned out pretty cute...???

Paper: SU Basic Black, Whisper White, Blushing Bride DP (Hostess level 1)
Stamp Set: SU Birthday Bakery
Ink: Black Staz On, SU Markers, Black fine tip pen
Embellishments and products: SU Real Red Satin Ribbon, SU soft subtles buttons (retired), Rhinestones, MS garnet glitter, chipboard "M",
Crystal Effects
To get the glitter to stay still and not go all over the place while in the mail I used a trick I saw to use crystal effects over the glitter and it worked really well to seal the glitter :)
Thanks Ladies

Hard at work crafting

Hello everyone,

I haven't posted any project lately but I have been working on some projects for a craft sale at work. Every year they do a United Way Fundraiser for the months of Sept-Nov and they always do a craft sale and I thought I would make up a bunch of things to donate. I'm in the process of making Christmas cards, and gift tags. I'm thinking I'll get a cheap mirror and put a Christmas vinyl cut on it. There are so may ideas running around in my head of what I could donate. Anyways I'll make sure to take pictures and post them soon of my goodies to donate :)

Thanks Ladies ttys xooxoxo

Back to School with The Canadian Paper Trail

Hello Ladies, Today I am featured on http://thecanadianpapertrail.blogspot.com/. The theme is Back to School / End of Summer. I decided that to go with Back to School, I don't have children yet but I'm looking forward to the first day of school activities. I think with the first day of school its a must to get the snap shot of them as there heading out into the world so with that I made a First Day of School photo frame. To go with it I thought making lunch time cards would be cute also. What kid wouldn't love getting a little note from mom or dad in there lunch bag to cheer them up?

Paper: Assorted SU, Brazzill, MS and Recollections
Stamps: Peachy Keen assorted faces
Cricut Carts: Doodlecharms, Lockertalk and Mini Monograms
Embellishments: SU Real Red Satin ribbon, Xmas Red and Orange Peel Stickles
The picture frame was just a plain wood frame that was on clearance at Micheals
Cuts:
Apple where cut at 2 3/4" with Doodlecharms
Bus where cut at 3 1/4" with Lockertalk
Pencil where cut at 2" with Lockertalk
Letters where cut at 3" on the Mini Monograms
It's hard to see but I used stickles to fill in the lights on the bus :) so cute!!

Paper: SU and MS
Cricut Cart: My Community
Others: Black and Brown fine tip pens
Cuts:
Crayons: I used DS to pull up the crayons from the My Community Cart and hide two out of three of the crayons. I repeated the first step to get two of the same crayon side by side. After that I flipped one of the crayons and welded them together to make a crayon card. I cut the crayons out at 4 1/2. I repeated to step to pull up the layers and hide the crayons I wasn't using and again cut out the layers at 4 1/2.
Bag Topper: I used DS and My Community again, with the blackout feature pulled up two of the lunch time cuts then flipped and welded them to make the topper. Then I pulled up the layers for the topper three times so I could hide one of the items in each so in the end I only had to cut out the layers once. I cut all of the topper out at 3 1/4.
I hope you enjoyed my projects and make sure to go over to http://thecanadianpapertrail.blogspot.com/ and check out all the other featured designers. yesterday was my moms post from over at http://mommakcrafts.blogspot.com/ she decorated my laptop with vinyl, and it turned out soooo cute. Thanks Mom!!!
Take care Ladies ttyl xo
